Kenya takes against Pakistan:
At the Anjalay Stadium in Mauritius today against poorly placed Pakistan in the Four Nations competition, the national football team Harambee Stars hopes to show off its potential by getting back to winning ways.
It is the first-ever match between the two teams, and Harambee Stars head coach Engin Firat hopes to correct errors from their defeat to Iran in March in Tehran by a score of 2-1.
Due to injuries, club obligations, and coaching errors, the Harambee Stars will be without five essential players who started against Iran in March.
Before leaving for Nairobi, coach Firat said at a news conference that he had his sights set on the future and hinted that he would be giving the team’s new members an opportunity to demonstrate their skills.
“At the moment, I’m not looking; I’m concentrating on preparing for the future. Since many of my players are under the age of 23, it is best for them to be prepared so that they can aid me in the future. I also expect them to seize the chance and impress me with what they can bring to the squad. They must experience life abroad, according to coach Firat, who spoke to People Daily Sport.
Moses Shummah, Benson Omalla, Bonface Omondi, Joseph Mwangi, and Kevin Luke Otiala are a few of the new players who will be making their senior Harambee Stars debuts.

The final of the Tanzania FA Cup, which was contested on Monday night in the seaside town of Tanga, also saw Azam play Young Africans without the former Gor Mahia skipper.
It will be important for coach Engin Firat to win for the second time in his last six games.
Under his direction, Kenya lost both home and away World Cup qualifying matches to Mali. In a game that Harambee Stars deserved to win, he took a break by drawing away to Uganda in Kampala.
Just before Kenya was suspended by FIFA in November 2021, Firat steered the squad to a 2-1 victory over Rwanda. The most recent game was a 2-1 setback in Tehran to a highly ranked Iran team.
Pakistan, who is now ranked 195th in the FIFA rankings, is currently suffering from a seven-game losing run. Kenya could have trouble becoming match-ready, but Pakistan has already put the Mauritius tournament to the test, falling to the hosts 3-0 on Saturday.
The South Asia Football Championships encounter versus Bhutan in 2018 was their most recent victory.
